A ~10% booking fee on a £25 ticket is about £2.50 for the buyer — roughly £1,250 over 500 tickets. With Ticketable there's no booking fee, so the buyer pays face value and you keep 100% of it.

How can it be free?

Running a ticketing platform isn’t as expensive as the big players make out. Ticketable covers its costs through small, tasteful, non-intrusive advertising — for example a discreet sponsor logo on the printable ticket. Nothing on your event page, and nothing that interrupts your buyer. That’s the only thing subsidising the platform — so you keep every penny of your ticket revenue.

Ticketable vs WeGotTickets — your questions

How do the fees compare?

WeGotTickets charges fans a booking fee of around 10% (including VAT), which the organiser can choose to subsidise. Ticketable charges no booking fee at all — just Stripe's processing at cost — so there's nothing to subsidise.

Is Ticketable good for music, comedy and grassroots events?

Yes — those are exactly the events that benefit most from a 0% fee. You get a branded booking page, QR check-in, wallet + PDF tickets, and your full customer list.

When do I get paid?

WeGotTickets pays organisers out after the event. Ticketable pays you directly through your own Stripe, daily, with each transaction released three working days after it's made.

Is Ticketable really free?

Yes — no platform fee, no per-ticket cut, no subscription. It's funded by tasteful advertising on printable tickets.
